What’s one habit that has improved your life the most?
When people ask what habit has improved my life the most, they often expect an answer about productivity, organization, or health.
But the habit that has transformed my life more than any other is much simpler:
Consistently making space to seek God before responding to everything else.
For years, I wanted God to reveal His vision for my life. I prayed for direction, clarity, and purpose. Yet I often expected those answers to come while my schedule, my opinions, and the noise around me demanded my attention.
Over time, I discovered something that Scripture has taught all along: God often speaks to people who have learned to slow down long enough to listen.
Stillness is not wasted time.
Prayer is not a delay.
Time in God’s Word is never unproductive.
These are the places where our hearts are shaped, our priorities are realigned, and our ears become attentive to His voice.
I’ve also learned that spiritual growth rarely comes through one dramatic moment. More often, it is formed through quiet, faithful habits practiced day after day.
A few minutes in prayer.
Reading Scripture even when you don’t feel like it.
Choosing obedience in a small decision.
Writing down what God is teaching you.
These simple practices may not seem extraordinary, but over time they change the direction of a life.
That’s one of the central themes behind Discovering His Vision for Your Life. Before God entrusts us with greater assignments, He often develops greater faithfulness. Vision is not simply discovered in a moment. It is cultivated through a relationship with Him.
So let me ask you:
What’s one habit that has strengthened your walk with God the most?
I’d love to hear your answer in the comments.
