Well, the 2015 MLB season is over for the NY Yankees. I think they over-produced. They were written off in the spring and ended up in the Wildcard game. Yeah, it would’ve been nice to get past that horrible game, but at least they made it. Lots of teams tried, but they did.
Looking at the team this year, I noticed the same thing most people did. They’re getting old. They hit a lot of home runs. They’re mediocre defensively.
But, with that being said, I think they’re only 2 players away from a dynasty. They need a right fielder. Beltran is hobbled. Yeah, he was the most consistent hitter the Yanks had in the second half, but looked pretty rough in the field. And, we need a pitcher. Not an ace… We’ll have two soon in Tanaka and Sevarino. But, one more number two would be great, just in case Tanaka goes down. Other than that, I think we’re in good shape. Just think about this:
- Tanaka, Sevarino, Evoldi, Pineda, Nova
- McCann, Murphy
- Tex, Bird
- Refsnyder
- Headley, Bird?
- Gregorious
- Gardner
- Ellsbury
- Heathcott, Beltran
- DH – Arod, Tex, Beltran
